Ms. Rachel Nandelenga is a member of our Advisory Board. Rachel brings a wealth of experience in gender equality, social inclusion, and community development, having served in Sironko District Local Government since 2001. She currently holds the position of Senior Community Development Officer, overseeing gender, culture, and community development initiatives in Sironko District.
Her academic background includes a Master’s in
Public Administration and a BA in Education from the Islamic University in
Uganda, a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from UMI, and
multiple certificates from respected institutions like Makerere University and
the Law Development Centre.
Rachel has served on the Boards of Governors for three secondary schools in the region as the President of the Catholic Women in the Archdiocese of Tororo, where she champions family strengthening and women’s empowerment, Works with the Peace Corps under the U.S. Embassy as a language and cross-cultural consultant for Lumasaaba, has served as a focal person for the GROW Project and Social Inclusion Grants for the elderly.
Rachel brings deep expertise in advocacy, coordination, community engagement, and cross-sector collaboration, and she is fluent in English, Lumasaaba, Luganda, and some Kiswahili.
